SUWANEE — Peachtree Ridge’s football team scored twice in the fourth quarter Friday night, and bounced back from last week’s loss for a 35-21 win over previously unbeaten Winder-Barrow.

The Lions, now 3-1, took a 28-21 win on quarterback Hunter Sheppard’s 1-yard run with 9:51 left in the fourth quarter, then went up two scores on Ladavius Dye’s 4-yard TD run with 1:58 remaining. Sheppard was 12 of 20 passing for 241 yards and two TDs, a 35-yarder to Jordan Ghant and a 90-yarder to Jeremiah Colbert — both in the second quarter as the Lions led 21-14 at halftime.

Winder-Barrow tied the score 21-21 in the third quarter on Conyer Smith’s 12-yard TD pass to Tyrone Allen.

Each team had a defensive score in the first quarter with Peachtree Ridge’s Desean Lumpkin recovering a fumble in the end zone for an early 7-0 lead.

Colbert had three catches for 148 yards, and teammate A.J. Bonds had six catches for 36 yards.
