Peachtree Ridge continued its impressive history with military academies on National Signing Day.

Of the Lions’ five recruits honored Wednesday, three are headed to the prestigious institutions — offensive lineman Matthew Adoghe and Albert Jang to Army, and defensive back Corey Collins to Air Force.

“We are really excited about our three players that will sign with the academies,” Peachtree Ridge head coach Reggie Stancil said. “I think it really shows what type of kids we have at Peachtree Ridge. All five kids have done a great job in the classroom and on the field. That will make five football players in three years that have signed with the academies with (past recruits) Wilson Catoe (Army) and Trent Brown (Army). All five of the kids are high character kids.”

Peachtree Ridge recognized two other signees Wednesday, both defensive linemen. Jacob Allen signed with Mississippi Valley State, and Caleb Franklin signed with Fort Scott (Kans.) Community College.
